5 quotes that make me less lazy.

Here is a list of quotes that make me less of a procrastinator. They are part of my daily dose of motivation.

1. “Don’t you get it? This very second you could be doing something you love and dream about doing. So do it! NOW!”

2. “Winning is not a sometime thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit, unfortunately, so is losing”.

3. “Approach the start of each day with something in mind and end the day with one word…DONE”.

4. “Ideas are a dime a dozen, they are worthless, but people who put their ideas into action are priceless”.

5. “The only way to get ahead is to get started”.

Stop dreaming?

Looking back at my life,
I see joy,
I see pain.
I see loss,
I see gain.
There have been accomplishments,
as well as failures.

I am happy, I think.

But when I look back..
I also see those dreams..
that I’ve let go.

Does that make us happier?

Having less dreams?
Having less goals?

It doesn’t, does it?

Part of us still wants to go after those dreams
to make them happen.
But the other part, the comfort zone yearning part of us,
simply quiets it down.

You are happy it says, why bother?
It’s impossible it says, why try?

We forget our dreams. We get used to being in that zone.

But remember the dreaming part of us never dies.

It might shut down for a while,
but it’ll wake up.

Though it might be too late by then.

Hakuna matata

Hakuna Matata

Hakuna matata. It means “no worries”. This expression should be an essential part of our tense adult lives. All children worry about is what toy they want and which kid to annoy, which candy to eat (Although children aren’t as innocent any more but still), their worries don’t last much. It’s us who have these gigantic responsibilities which give us serious headaches.

Worry doesn’t get us anywhere, now does it? All it does it take up our precious time and destroy our should-be-worry-less-moments. We think and think and think but the solution to our problems just slips by and that worries us even more. We know we shouldn’t worry so much but we still can’t help it. We are built that way. Living life to the fullest is easy to say, hard to do.

So what do we do? I suggest keeping this song on top of your playlist and listening to it whenever it gets too much. It’s childish I know but aren’t kids the happiest? Everybody has problems. Life sucks sometimes. So, let the adult part of you rest a little bit and let your inner child out. For a child, everyday is an adventure, an interesting challenge. And who doesn’t love challenges?

Hakuna matata!

Be generous next time.

How much effort does it take
to say
I like it.
I love it.
You rock.
You make me proud.
I knew you had it in you.
I was rooting for you.
These few words can
make somebody’s day
can make somebody smile
can fill them with joy
can fill them with happiness.
So be generous next time,
make somebody feel special.

Missed out opportunities..!

I’ve learned through experience that letting an opportunity slip by just because we think it a waste of time or just not worth it gives you regrets. Instead, giving them a try no matter how worthless they seem at the time is better, at least you were part of it, at least you tried! Next time maybe, just doesn’t work.

So, next time I’m not saying No.

Sky, a big shawl.

No matter where we live we are enveloped by the same sky. It’s like a big shawl wrapping around us, drawing us closer..why then do we separate ourselves from each other? The same sun brightens our days whether we are part of the West or the East..why then is there such antagonism? If moon is the same then why are there so much gaps between us? Why can’t we mingle like the colors of the rainbow and yet retain our individual beauty instead of trying to destroy what everybody else has?
